Meditation Music for A Calming Effect

We all know the benefits of music on good health in both mind and body. With this in mind, we can take it to another level by saying that meditation music has double the benefits of any other type of musical genre including classical music, slow jazz and love songs, to name a few. In fact, we can confidently say that the likes of Osho meditation music is the best type for relaxing the mind and body while setting it on its way to enlightenment.

Why is this so? Our simple answer is that music specifically composed to aid in meditation has different structures, rhythms and harmonies than other genres. In many instances, its main aim is to stimulate the brain’s alpha waves, which are closely associated with wakeful relaxation while the eyes are closed. In fact, meditation masters generate more alpha waves during their meditation sessions, a goal that beginners will want to aim for.

There are also other observable effects of meditation music on an individual’s mood with his own self, attitude toward others and approach toward life itself. Let’s take a brief look at such beneficial effects in terms of calming the mind and body.

Depression – When you are depressed, your mind is far from calm because it is overwhelmed by worries, sadness and fears. With Osho meditation music playing, you will feel calmer because your mind releases higher levels of serotonin, a neurotransmitter closely associated with better mood.

Anxiety – With anxiety, you are unusually fearful of the uncertainties that come with life. Meditation music can come to your rescue mainly because you will focus on the music and, thus, on the present instead of focusing on your fears, anxieties and worries. Your mind will enjoy a sense of calm that it has not known before.

Pain Management – While listening to music for meditation, your body releases a natural chemical substance known as endorphins. These chemicals block physical pain, which explains the use of music in pain management and which leads to a calmer mind free from the worries of pain itself.
Indeed, when meditation music is used in the proper manner, it will be your best tool in calming your frazzled mind and relaxing your exhausted body.
